Inaugural Cohort Conferred Under Expanded Recognition System
At the Company of Good Conferment 2024, 290 organisations were conferred as Companies of Good. These exemplary organisations demonstrated progressive commitment to Corporate Purpose and made holistic contributions in the five impact areas of People, Society, Governance, Environment, and Economic at a national level.
This inaugural cohort of Companies of Good marks a shift from previous editions of NVPC's national recognition, as companies are now conferred under the expanded Company of Good Recognition System.
Company of Good 2024 Cohort Report
The Company of Good 2024 Cohort Report draws from the cohort of 290 Companies of Good to reveal their collective impact and efforts at the cohort level, as well as their individual initiatives at the organisational level. Notable cohort highlights that emerged from the report include:
- Corporate Purpose: Nearly all companies (99%) have either articulated their Corporate Purpose or are in the process of doing so.
- People: Collectively, the cohort invested 7.2M hours on training and upskilling to their employees.
- Society: As a cohort, their combined donations amounted close to $323M, with volunteer hours totalling close to 800,000
- Environment: 95 companies have invested in research and development to reduce their environmental impact.
- Governance: On average, 65% of their employees have attended at least one form of governance training or accreditation.
- Economic: The collective financial investment made in local businesses amounted to around $10 billion.
